As a child she performed in school glee clubs and church choirs, developing a strong vocal foundation and a passion for connecting with audiences through song.

She later began performing professionally with bands throughout the Philadelphia area, lending both lead and background vocals to groups such as Inflight and Heaven Bound. Cheryl also recorded with Old School Nu School Record Company, performing the song “Yeah Right,” which was written especially for her.

After taking time to raise her family, Cheryl returned to the stage with the same passion that first inspired her. Today she performs with Jett Sparks and the Spin Factor, bringing soulful vocals, warmth, and energy to every show. Always expanding her musical talents, Cheryl has recently begun learning guitar and piano, continuing her lifelong journey in music.

Kevin Moor (Guitar / Vocals)

Kevin Moor was born and raised in Delaware.  His path to the stage has been shaped by curiosity, opportunity, and a lifelong love of music. His musical journey began in school band playing trumpet, but everything changed at sixteen when his grandfather gave him a guitar and amplifier. Using his talent for being able to play most songs by ear, Kevin quickly immersed himself in the local music scene.

While earning a BA in Music in college, he continued developing his craft in both live performance and the recording studio, even earning airplay on local radio. By the mid-1990s, Kevin had become a regular on the Philadelphia-area music circuit, performing with several cover bands and developing a versatile guitar style.

His experience in the wedding and event band scene eventually led him to reconnect with Jett Sparks, bringing his seasoned musicianship to the Spin Factor stage.

Tony Ballou (Keyboards)

Tony Ballou has had a deep connection to music for as long as he can remember. Born premature and blind, music quickly became a central part of his life, shaping both his creativity and his determination to perform. Throughout his school years he sang in choral groups and experimented with several instruments, eventually discovering that the world of keyboards was where he felt most at home.

While many of his teachers encouraged classical training, Tony found his true inspiration in the sounds he heard on the radio and in the music he loved at home. The tones of the electric piano, clavinet, and the groundbreaking sounds of synthesizers captured his imagination and set him on a path toward modern keyboards and electronic music.

Tony began performing in bands during his school years and continued through college, where he played with jazz ensemble and fusion groups while expanding his keyboard setup. Over the years he has played in a variety of bands on the club and wedding circuit, including Stroke of Midnight, building a reputation for musical versatility and creative keyboard textures.  He brings passion, experience, and a lifelong love of music to every performance.

Wayne Lawrence (Bass)

Wayne Lawrence is a seasoned bassist with decades of experience on stage and in the studio. Known for his deep groove and musical versatility, his playing is rooted in funk, R&B, and gospel traditions, always focused on laying down a solid foundation that makes the music move.

Wayne has performed with high-energy cover bands and original projects, while also recording for a variety of home studio sessions. He remains active in the gospel circuit, regularly serving at churches throughout the Philadelphia tri-state area and Maryland.

Influenced by bass greats like Doug Wimbish, Marcus Miller, Mark Adams, and Philly’s own Doug Grigsby, Wayne blends classic funk roots with a modern edge—carrying that legacy forward every time he picks up a bass.

Cathy McCutcheon (Percussion)

Cathy McCutcheon, born and raised in Philadelphia, has been entertaining audiences since an early age. A skilled percussionist specializing in congas, timbales, and hand percussion, she also plays piano when the moment calls for it.

At just nine years old, Cathy joined the historic Freedom Theater under the direction of John E. Allen Jr. and Robert Leslie, appearing in stage productions such as The Me Nobody Knows, Mo’ Sketches, and And the World Goes ’Round. During her time there, she also founded and directed Freedom Theater’s first choir, Voices of Freedom.

Her passion for music led her to form the nine-piece R&B band Inflight, which performed throughout the Philadelphia region at clubs, weddings, and special events. Cathy continues to perform with several groups, including Jett Sparks and the Spin Factor.
